A Little Bit About Me

I’m a senior at Leland High School, San Jose, CA. I’m interested in Data Science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. I’m fascinated by how neural networks can emulate the thinking and learning process of the human mind. I love reading all kinds of books, and my current interests include reading and learning about human psychology. I have been trained in classical piano since childhood and love arranging music. For me, one day on the weekend is always dedicated to a long hike or biking.

Research Paper

In machine learning, the multi-armed bandit problem is a problem in which a fixed limited set of resources must be allocated between competing choices in a way that maximizes their expected gain, when each choice's properties are only partially known at the time of allocation, and may become better understood as time passes or by allocating resources to the choice.

The review paper (TBP) discusses the various Multi-Arm Bandit algorithms by exploring the exploration vs exploitation trade-off as well as the benefits and drawbacks to each method.

Music Arrangements

My experience with music arrangement was a passion that originated as a method to obtain music that wasn’t arranged. Since then, my interest in music arrangement has evolved from a means to an end to a way to push myself musically and get a stronger understanding of the music I enjoy. Through these songs, I gained a more comprehensive understanding of not only the structure that builds different kinds of songs but also the instruments that make them up.
